My fine art photography moves within the intersection between realistic portrayals and imaginative layers of often symbolic value. My body of work presents collections of various genres, always with a specific idea and message conveyed. All with a continuous view of inviting the observer to shift into a space of personal recognition, while also being given room for newfound perspectives. With my conceptualization of the visual art form of photography, previously unseen ideas and compositions can be expected.

The through-line of my photographic work is a conceptualization of vulnerability, safety and persistence to prevail. I approach my work by decontextualizing the image and further reconstruct it to establish new frames of references. Symbolism forms part of the essence herein.

The formation of helmets serves as a reference to the irony of mindfully trying to ensure your safety while voluntarily throwing yourself into risk-taking, danger, and the unknown. Also, the act of putting on a helmet translates into consciously making use of experiences gained, turning them into useful means of protection as you move forward, playing hard.
